Yes, to operate the boat independently, you need a valid boat skipper's license or an international ICC license (International Certificate of Competence).

If you don't have a license, you can hire a skipper who will safely take you across the sea.

The Karnic SL 642 boat has a capacity of up to 7 people (including the skipper, if hired). For safe and comfortable sailing, we recommend 5-6 people.

After confirming availability, we will send you a quote. The reservation is valid upon receipt of the advance payment (30% of the total price).

We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance; during peak season (July, August), as early as possible – even a month or more in advance. For panoramic trips, it is sometimes possible to book a day or two in advance.

No, fuel is not included in the rental price. You receive the boat with a full tank and must return it with a full tank. Alternatively, you can refuel upon return and be charged for the actual fuel consumed.

Average consumption depends on the sailing style – with calm cruising, approximately 15-20 liters per hour.

The security deposit is 500 € and is paid upon boat pick-up. Payment is possible in cash or by credit card pre-authorization.

The deposit is fully refunded upon return of the boat in undamaged condition.

Cancellation conditions:

• More than 30 days before the start: 100% refund of the advance payment
• 15-30 days before the start: 50% refund of the advance payment
• Less than 15 days before the start: the advance payment is non-refundable

In case of bad weather, the rental will be rescheduled to another date by agreement.

The boat is picked up at Portorož marina. The exact location and arrival instructions will be provided upon booking confirmation.

Upon pick-up, you will need:

• Valid personal identification (ID card or passport)
• Valid boat skipper's license (if you are driving yourself)
• Security deposit (500 € in cash or credit card)

We recommend bringing: swimwear, towels, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and plenty of fluids.

The boat is equipped with all mandatory safety equipment:

• Life jackets for all passengers
• Life ring
• Fire extinguisher
• First aid kit
• Anchor
• GPS navigation

With a full-day rental, you will also receive a cooler bag and a swimming kit (ladder, shower).

Safety comes first. If weather conditions do not allow for safe sailing (strong wind, storm), the rental will be rescheduled to another date by agreement at no additional cost.

We will notify you of any cancellation or rescheduling no later than 2 hours before the scheduled start of the rental.

You can sail in Slovenian and Croatian territorial waters. Popular destinations include:

• Slovenian coast: Piran, Izola, Koper, Strunjan
• Croatian Istria: Savudrija, Umag, Novigrad, Rovinj

When sailing in Croatian waters, you must comply with Croatian regulations. We will advise you on the required documentation.

Yes, we offer weekly rentals (Saturday to Saturday). With multi-day rental, the boat stays at the marina and you return it every evening. Night sailing is not permitted.
